PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Marin Families,

Interventionists and I met with all grade level teachers over the last 2 weeks to analyze student data and determine students' academic needs. Next week we will begin WIN (What I Need) Time. During this time, students will work in small groups to focus on the skills and strategies they need most. Some students may work with another teacher, and some may stay in their own classroom with their teacher.

Our goal is to make sure every child gets the support they need at their level. We’re excited to create opportunities for students to learn in new ways, connect with different teachers, and build confidence as learners.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Melisa Pfohl, Principal

NO NUTS AT SCHOOL

Just a reminder that Marin is a nut-free school, which means no snacks/bars containing nuts and no sandwiches containing peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella/hazelnut spreads, etc.  Please be sure to pack only nut-free snacks and lunches for your student(s).

The school district's Allergy Plan (from the Superintendent's Community Update on 8/22/25):

"All AUSD sites and staff spaces will be designated as nut-free zones. This includes all sites, PTA & PTSA events, clubs, sports and staff-only areas.

Lice Treatment Kits Available If Needed

Marin School has lice treatment kits available in the front office for families impacted by lice and experiencing financial hardship, courtesy of the PTA. If your family needs a kit, please stop by the office and we will make sure you receive the product to treat your family.

Our goal is to support the health and comfort of all students, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if your family could benefit.

Thank you for helping us keep our school community healthy.

Sign up to perform here.

Familias Latinas’ Read-Aloud Project

The Read-Aloud Project is another way we honor our cultural heritage this month. Please volunteer so that all students in TK through 5th grade have the opportunity to have a Latinx person in their classroom reading a book and sharing their experience. We need more volunteers to reach this goal the week of September 29th! Sign up to read aloud here.
