Marin’s Got Talent - Auditions This Weekend!

If your child is interested in performing in the March 14th Marin Talent Show, please make sure to sign up here asap! https://forms.gle/5i3vi2tFipjHwCvk8

Once you sign up, you’ll be able to select a 10-minute audition time slot this weekend, January 24-25. Please note that the “audition” is really just a time to practice - everyone who comes can be in the show, and no worries if you are still working on your act. There’s plenty of time to perfect it before the show! So far we have some excellent acts lined up - singing, dancing, instrumental performances, gymnastics, comedy routines - wow! Past shows have included original skits, parent/child musical performances, a very cute Baby Shark performance, and a kid thrilling the audience by solving a Rubik’s cube in under 2 minutes!

If you are planning on coming and want pizza, please RSVP before 3pm on Tuesday so I can order the right amount. I hope to see you there! Committee to Get Involved In

We’re still looking for a parent and/or community member to participate in the AUSD Facilities Steering Committee. This committee will take a look at how space is used in our district, and specifically at Marin. This committee will also help prioritize site improvement projects at our school.

If you’re interested in this opportunity, please email Principal Pfohl at mpfohl@ausdk12.org.

Science Olympiad Elementary Teams Forming Now!

Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition where students compete in STEM-related challenges across topics like earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Division A is the elementary division, where 3rd–6th graders can compete by constructing a vehicle made of pasta, decoding ciphers, identifying stars, and more. We recommend forming a team of 8 friends of a similar age group to ensure compatibility amongst the students.  Find out more about SciOly Division A. Sign-up form is here. Questions?
