What Happens Next

Under California public-sector collective bargaining law, Tentative Agreements are not final until both parties have completed their respective approval processes. The Albany Teachers Association will conduct a ratification vote with its membership. Following ratification, the agreements will be brought forward for formal consideration and approval by the AUSD Board of Education at a public meeting. Only after both steps are complete will the agreements take effect.

AUSD remains committed to transparent communication throughout this process and appreciates the collaborative efforts of both bargaining teams.
