PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Marin Families,


A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Moonlight Auction Committee for putting together such a fantastic event last weekend! It was a wonderful evening that brought our community together, and raised a lot of money for our students and for our school. While most items have been sold, there are still a few things left to bid on. Please see the PTA section below for more information and THANK YOU for your support!!

PTA CORNER

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

The Marin PTA is excited to host a special Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week from Monday, May 4- Friday, May 8. Our goal is to create a memorable celebration to honor the incredible dedication and hard work of our staff members. To make this week a success, we are seeking volunteers from our school families. We would appreciate assistance with providing food items and on-site help for the following scheduled events:

  • Monday, May 4: Cookies & Milk

  • Tuesday, May 5: Catered Luncheon for National Teacher Day

  • Wednesday, May 6: Coffee & Pastries

  • Thursday, May 7: Fruit & Coconut Water Bar

  • Friday, May 8: Teacher Gifts

Moonlight Auction Final Items

The 2026 live auction has come to a close! Thank you to all those who participated - the auction raised a record $47,000! These funds will go directly towards supporting our Marin students and school community.


Still interested in auction items? Some special items are still available online! Visit our online CATALOG to see. Certain items are listed at a significant discount (~1/3 of market value).

Marin Movie Night -- Friday, May 1st

Please join us for our last movie night of the year!

On May 1st, in the multipurpose room, we will be showing Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Ware-Rabbit. (80 minutes)

Doors will open and pizza will be served at 6:15pm. The movie will start at 7pm. 

Please help keep this fun Marin tradition going! We need volunteers! Please consider donating some treats for the bake sale, open before and during the movie. 


Movie Nights raise money for the PTA. Turtle, Dolphin, and Premier Dolphin members enjoy free admission to all movie nights! Otherwise, the suggested donation for admission is $5 per person. Tickets include pizza, drinks, and popcorn. Please make sure to get your tickets in advance as movie nights often sell out! All children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Drag Story Hour - Hosted by Albany's Pride, Saturday, April 25 at 11:30am

Join us for a joyful celebration of stories, creativity, and community! Albany Pride is thrilled to host a Drag Story Hour on Saturday, April 25, from 11:30am –1:30pm at the Marin Elementary MPR.


Enjoy fabulous storytelling, great food, and time with neighbors and fellow families. This event is open to everyone.


Food will be provided—please RSVP so we can plan accordingly: Albany's Pride Story-Hour Sign up

Story time will take place from 12:00–1:00 PM. We hope to see you there!

Family Math Night - Tuesday, April 28 at 6:15p in the Marin MPR

Join us in the Marin Multi-Purpose Room for games and puzzles that illustrate the fun, creative, and inspiring side of math for kids and adults alike!


If you are planning on coming and want pizza, please RSVP before 3pm on Tuesday so I can order the right amount. I hope to see you there! I'll add in a little extra for those who forget to RSVP but would still like to eat. Please consider bringing a $5 to $10 donation per pizza-eater to help offset costs.
