Looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Night, Thursday from 6-7pm!

We love your dogs, but outside of campus

Thanks to all who are keeping their dogs outside of campus! We had dog waste on campus yesterday. Please help ensure that we keep the area clean and safe for all our kids. Thank you!

Drop Off

Thank you all for continuing to keep the white zones clear in front of the school on Santa Fe and on Curtis. This white zone is for a brief stop to let your child out of the car. Please remember to stay with your vehicle so we can keep the zone clear for others. Just a heads up, Albany Police are monitoring Albany schools and giving tickets for parents who leave their cars to walk their students in. We appreciate your help!

Permission to share pictures of your child?

One of the ways some teachers and I love to communicate with you and our community is to share pictures of students in action. We are also cognizant that some of you wouldn’t want pictures shared with others.

Please make sure you have completed the annual data confirmation in Aeries. One of the things you are confirming is whether you give permission for us to share photos of your child(ren).

To complete the data confirmation process:

With appreciation,

Ginger Cook

Back to School Night

Back to School night is Thursday, August 27th and is an adult-only event. To make it accessible to all our families, the PTA is covering childcare for up to 100 Marin students. If you need free childcare to be able to attend, please sign up here. The PTA will have an info table 15 minutes before and after the meeting (5:45-6pm and 7-7:15pm) at the blue tables under the canopy — stop by to learn how to get involved!

International Potluck

The International Potluck is back! Join the fun on Thursday, September 3rd at 5:30pm at Marin. Meet new people, welcome new families, catch up with old friends, and enjoy music and international cuisine. Bring a (nut-free) favorite dish from your heritage or a household favorite to share. We are looking for volunteers for set-up, the event, and clean-up — sign up here

Headlands Brewing Night

Who doesn’t want to relax with a drink while your kids play safely with other kids?  Join your fellow Marin families at Headlands Brewing on Wednesday, September 16th from 4pm - 7pm. 10% of proceeds will go directly to our PTA!

Movie Night

Our first movie night will be Friday, September 25th. Join us for pizza at 6:15pm and a family movie in the Marin Multipurpose Room (MPR) starting around 6:45pm. Tickets can be purchased here, and admission is FREE for Turtle, Dolphin and Dolphin Circle PTA members (join here!).

STEM Day

Our STEM day event is back by popular demand and will be held at Marin Elementary School on Saturday, October 24th from 11am - 1pm.  This is a FREE day full of learning and exploring for the whole family.  Lunch will be served as well! We’ll be reaching out soon for volunteers, but if you are interested please feel free to email Joel Weber (jmw654@gmail.com), this year’s STEM Day Chair.

From all of us on the Marin PTA, have a fantastic weekend!
