Back by popular demand! When the Marin Elementary School IDEA Committee hosted Michal Rokach Shamay for a parent education program on Child Mental Health last spring, we found that there simply was not enough time to answer parents’ many questions. Today, in addition to those same questions, we may be facing new challenges as parents.

Join us for a conversation with Michal Rokach Shamay. We will gather on Zoom to learn from her expertise, answer your questions, and support one another.

How is your family navigating the start of the new school year, amidst the many other challenges of our time? What can we do to support positive growth in our children right now? When you Sign-up, please include your specific questions so that Michal can meet the needs of our community.

Michal Rokach Shamay is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Dance and Movement Therapist. She has experience treating a wide variety of psychological and emotional difficulties in adults, teenagers, and children. She is particularly interested in working with those seeking a greater sense of well-being, satisfaction in relationships, and understanding of self.

This is a program of the Marin Elementary School Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Committee. The IDEA Committee fosters compassion for, and awareness, understanding and acceptance of, the varied array of cultures, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, genders, abilities, learning differences and socioeconomic backgrounds of our families and the broader community. We believe having a diverse community can be a strength for a school in shaping young minds to be good global citizens.
