Instrument "Petting Zoo" for 5th-Graders

Is your 5th-grader thinking about choosing Band? Would they like to try out the various wind instruments beforehand?

If so, then please put Wednesday, August 23rd, on your calendar and come with your child to our instrument "petting zoo" in the Ocean View MPR from 6:00 to 8:00 PM that day.

Please arrive on time. We'll talk briefly about what Band involves, and then we will divide the students into four groups that will rotate among the four instrument stations -- flute, clarinet, trombone, and trumpet. Every student will have a chance to try playing each type of instrument -- and perhaps discover a new favorite!

Attendance at the petting zoo is not required in order to sign up for Band, but it is encouraged as a learning opportunity.
