Readiness Dashboard While Alameda County granted permission for schools to open on October 13th due to a consistent drop in COVID cases, they subsequently published their criteria that districts must fulfill in order to reopen. In order to be transparent about where our district is at in fulfilling these requirements, AUSD has posted a Readiness Dashboard on its website to indicate how close we are to being ready to reopen. The dashboard is updated

In addition, the AUSD school board voted to have preschool hubs and hubs for our most vulnerable students return to school in person on November 2nd. Elementary K-5 students are targeted to come back to school in person in January. The district is working hard to make this happen. All dates for returning in person are contingent on ACOE guidelines as they monitor changes in COVID cases, and our readiness to open school.
